Das Kommunikations-Tool Skype ist nun auf 3 Sony Ericsson Handys verfügbar – Satio, Vivaz, und Vivaz Pro. Über WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) / WiFi, 3G (wie UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System)), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) und EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution) sind nun kostenlose Telefonate möglich. Inwieweit dies jedoch von Mobilfunkanbietern geduldet wird, bleibt fraglich.
